Many people attending Learning 2007 are arriving in Orlando early and have asked “So, what extra things can I do on Sunday?”

So, we have put together some optional Sunday Experiences:

  • Sunday Institutes – One-Day Intensive Workshops ( Free for Learning 2007 Participants)
  • Disney Backstage Tours and Briefings (Optional Charge from Disney)

If you are already registered for Learning 2007 and have non-refundable travel plans, do not make changes unless these options are ones you cannot live without.  (These one-day programs are deeper dives into content that will be addressed in the regular conference agenda.) 

If you are looking for fun at Disney and want an experience beyond the parks, The Disney Institute offers:

  • “Backstage Magic” - A great way to see how all the magic comes together in a 7-hour tour.
  • “Innovation In Action” - A shorter, 3-hour tour looking at the history and magic of Disney World.

From the first “talking” cartoon in 1928 to his bold vision of an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, Walt Disney always pushed the limits of technology.  His innovative ideas inspired the creation of the Walt Disney World Resort.  During this 3-hour behind-the-scenes adventure, you will hear stories about the early days of Walt’s career and visit a variety of locations for an up-close look at innovation.

  • The Walt Disney World Nursery and Tree farm:  See how Disney horticulturists create world-famous topiaries.
  • Textile Services:  Visit the state-of-the-art laundry facility, one of the largest in the world.
  • Magic Kingdom Park:  Discover the incredible attention to detail that allowed Walt to have his Guests enjoy a three-dimensional experience that could not be duplicated on a movie screen.

Ever wonder what it takes to create special effects and details found throughout the Walt Disney World Resort?  This tour unveils the fine points behind the design and operations in Theme Parks.
