e-Learning After 10 Years!
The Good, The Bad, The Future
A Global Symposium at Learning 2007
e-Learning is having a birthday at Learning 2007. Ten years ago, e-Learning started to be used as a term to describe the use of "CBT", or Computer-Based Training, as it was delivered over the internet. People were excited about the possibility of streaming some audio over the internet and took first steps toward building management systems that would deliver and track e-Learning modules.
Much has happened in the last 10 years. Learning is evolving rapidly. Content is being developed rapidly. And e-Learning has moved from a series of structured modules to a broader, more blended and more immersive environment.
"All About 'e'-Learning" will be an exciting Global Symposium at Learning 2007. Hosted by the 245 Member Organizations of The Learning CONSORTIUM, it will be a combination of a birthday party for "e", a debate on its effectiveness, a best practices comparison and a look into its future.
